Have you Experienced The Phoenix Rise Above ?
Have you ever Hit The Bottom, and Recovered To Over Top?
Art is a tool that I've been studying since childhood. Arguably the most important class in elementary and grade school, besides music. From my experience, starting from scratch is the ultimate exercise in creativity. It'll empower your life. Also a great tool for sharing with others. The art pictured above depicts a spiritual journey.
I have been fortunate, although it was very demanding, to experience first hand The Phoenix Rise Above. My Jiu-Jitsu/MMA Championship achievements are All by-products of Pain. CRISIS presents Threat which triggers Fear and Pain, But it equally presents Opportunity. For the one's willing to Overcome Fear and Push through the Pain, there's another side of Pain and it's called GLORY. It is reserved only for the one's willing to push through.
It was a Crisis in 1995 that drilled me to the bottom, and as tough it was, I trusted my gut and reacted by making the Concious choice to own up! For an opportunity to achieve Glory. The TRANSFER shows this side on Fire. My once Burning Desire to become a Great Champion in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu OR Surfing. I chose Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. There was much struggle and pain involved. There were so many losses, and DETERMINATION was necessary to keep pushing forward toward achieving my goals. I came up with a Plan and took Action, DID THE WORK studied in Rio de janeiro, managed to 'connect the dots' and achieve ultimate Glory in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
You can achieve all your Goals. From my experience you should strongly consider putting Determination on your team. How to: Know your Purpose and stand by it, FIRM Discipline. Sacrifice.
It was a Crisis in 2017 that hit me to the bottom once again, and as tough as it was, I ultimately made a Concious choice to own up! For an opprtunity to fulfill a legacy, which in itself would be Glorified. The TRANSFER shows the side as Water. The ocean swelling and offering radical waves to surf over shallow coral reefs. To progress faster and better requires a diligent regimen and EFFORT. Fewer mistakes means less visits to the bottom/cuts by the reef/ hold downs. Rain or shine, good days and bad, I paid my dues. Discipline. Sacrifice. Always follows the work are the results.
Angle in at entry, hit that bottomturn to speed up for bashing the lip. Blast it --Critical! Over and over, again and again.
Like I always recommend for you to catapult your progress; Goals and Affirmations, write em down. Exercise Discipline, doing what you don't want to do when you don't want to do it. Set your Sacrifice achieve and up the ante to progress and evolve your goals.
It's a choice. Choose to Overcome Fear and Push Through Pain. GLORY is waiting for You on the other side.

Academy DEFENDERS
Ricardo de la Riva's name and academy has been/ and still is a destination for Jiu-Jitsu practitioners around the world. The pictured three have defended the house for intervals over the decades since the 90's. The progress I made with these guys over my years in Rio de Janeiro was exponential. Literally, these guys would beat the hell out of me everyday at 4:30Pm. My guard got super from lashings and a hard learning curve. Day after day, week after week, month after month, yr after yr and on. Discipline.
We experienced many nice humble visitors over the years, but we also saw quite a few cocky individuals. They all got served (many hurt or injured). I remember times looking to see my Heroes decimating arrogant visitors. I learned from them. It is the better student's duty to enforce the code of Respect. DLR a nice guy, but you better believe he knows how the engine runs.
Always the case, visitors who challenged got beat up pretty bad. Literally, brutality via first-class ass whooping in the kimono. DLR would see it with his own eyes and grimmace like "oh No," but he'd always do proper and look the other way. Love you Master

Быть знаменитым некрасиво.
Не это подымает ввысь.
Не надо заводить архива,
Над рукописями трястись.
Цель творчества самоотдача,
А не шумиха, не успех.
Позорно ничего не знача,
Быть притчей на устах у всех.
